big baby

I took Emmett for a quick check up of his head, it's a little lopsided and I was concerned, but Dr. said it's minimal and to just lay him on his left side when laying him down. He weighed in at 16.4 lbs., he is in the 90 percentile. Big baby :-)

Emmett is almost learning to sit on his own, with a little help from his boppy pillow, he does just fine by himself, he is a strong little boy.

Greatgrandparents Carlson

We had a lovely visit with grandma and grandpa Carlson, they had a 2 1/2 hour layover in Phoenix on their way to Alaska. It was fun to have them meet Emmett. Grandma Carlson and Emmett had a long 10 min. conversation at the airport, it was fun to watch.

Bye bye Bassinet

Ok, so Emmett dosent fit in his bassinet anymore, any normal size child would be able to fit in it til 6 months of age, but Emmett is so long that at 3 months he has outgrown it. It's going to be a really hard transition for me because we kept the bassinet right at my bedside. So now my little baby has to sleep in his crib in the nursery all alone at night. I'm not ready for that..waa...(oh I know I will sneak out of my room once Phil falls asleep and sleep on the floor next to Emmett's crib...shh dont tell Phil). No but realisticly speaking it's going to be hard, wish me luck :-(

Rolling

12/31/09

Emmett can now roll. He all of a sudden decided "ah, I think I will roll today" without any warning but luckily I was present when it happened and he didnt fall off the bed.

Today I also took him to the Dr., he has a little cold, but he is getting better. He now weighs 14 lbs. 8 oz. My little guy is not so little anymore :-( by the time he is a toddler he will probably be taller then me, lol.
