We took this pic before Thanksgiving, but I had forgotten to post it, so here it is.

Christmas Time of Year!

This Christmas season I've had time to reflect on what really matters most. Today is fast Sunday (for those not LDS, every 1st Sunday of the month, we bear our testimony of Christ at church, voluntary of course). I haven't done this in awhile because I dont like to speak in front of big crowds and though I did not do it again this Sunday.

I want to let my family and friends know that I do have a testimony of Christ, of his gospel and that I am extremely grateful for the plan of salvation and what I have been given, my husband, son and the wonderful life that we live. I am grateful for Christ's atonement for us. I am grateful for Temples, for being able to be sealed to my husband and son for all time and all eternity. What a blessing that is!

So here is to wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas! :-)

Thanksgiving Newport Beach, CA

We had a great time this Thanksgiving, we had lots to be thankful for, especially family. The week before Thanksgiving we spent it with my family but we didn't take any pictures, it was lots of fun though, we all ate so much it hurt. Great times!

Then the week after that we spent Thanksgiving with Phillip's side of the family, where we all stayed in Newport Beach, CA for a week.

This was Emmett's first trip to the beach, he really enjoyed it, he loved playing with the sand.

Pumpkin Patch

We had a great time at the pumpkin patch! Emmett would not look at the camera because he wanted to play with the wheel, (he is such a boy) we took a ton of pics and this was the best one.

So much has happened

update:

Well, where do I start. Emmett began crawling about 2 months ago. Last week he discovered that he can pull himself up to stand by holding on to something. He can also walk sideways as he is holding on to the couch, he doesn't really care for his walker anymore. Just yesterday as he was reaching for a toy, he held it with both hands, he didn't realize he had stopped holding on to the table for support, so he actually stood up by himself for 5 seconds. When he realized he was wasn't holding on to anything he panicked and almost fell but I caught him.

Also he got yet another haircut 3 days ago. Pics to follow.

After a lot of thought and convincing from Phil. We took Emmett to get his first haircut. He did very well up until the last part when the stylist used the trimmer on his neckline. Here are some before and after shots.

More teeth already?

So yesterday I discovered yet another tooth (this one is a top front one). I'm not ready for this, he is growing up too fast. He is getting so big, he weights about 22 lbs. and measures at 30 inches at only 7 months old.

"Mama"

Emmett said "mama" twice in a row while I was feeding him, then 3 more times throughout the day today!! It is so awesome to hear his sweet little voice, I wonder if he knows what mama means, oh well, it is still wonderful to hear.

Went to Fountain Hills Park and had a great time, it was a beautiful day.

Walker

We bought Emmett a walker about 2 weeks ago, he didn't really do anything while being in it until 2 days ago. He loves to follow his mommy around the house in it and occasionally tries to chase after Coco and Nacho. He gets frustrated when he gets stuck but other then that he is a lean, mean, walking machine while he is in it, lol.

Who knows he might skip the whole crawling thing and go straight to walking. I love my little guy! (I will post video soon.)

Just 2 days after I noticed Emmett's first tooth, out sprouts another one right next to his first. I will post a picture soon. :-)

3/30/10

Emmett has his first tooth coming in. Last night as I was massaging his gums I saw it, its a bottom tooth and it already grew through his gums. I will try to get a picture posted soon. :-)

Beautiful Day

Today we enjoyed a beautiful day at the Mesa Temple grounds. Weather was a perfect 85 degrees.

Croup...baa

Ok so Emmett and I have croup, it has been really tough to see my little boy coughing so loud and just feeling miserable. Oh yeah and I got croup too, I feel awful, so Phillip has been taking care of us both, he is such a good dad and hubby. I wish there was medicine for croup out there but no I guess you just have to wait it out.

When we took Emmett to the Dr. yesterday, he weighed in at 18 lbs., he is catching up to his mama quick.

First Word

3 days ago Emmett said his first word "Mama", I love it, I knew he would be a momma's boy :-)

Emmett's first official laugh, 1/31/10.

We were getting him ready for a bath and he just started laughing, like if someone was tickling him, but we werent. It was so cute. He started laughing even more when we began to take pictures of him laughing, he is such a happy baby.

I took Emmett for a quick check up of his head, it's a little lopsided and I was concerned, but Dr. said it's minimal and to just lay him on his left side when laying him down. He weighed in at 16.4 lbs., he is in the 90 percentile. Big baby :-)

Emmett is almost learning to sit on his own, with a little help from his boppy pillow, he does just fine by himself, he is a strong little boy.
